Our team at the dental practice of Richard Choi, DMD & Ryan Choi, DMD want to thank you for considering us as your dental care provider. We love what we do, and we are pleased to provide our patients with access to comprehensive dentistry in San Francisco, California, that is tailored to their specific needs. We know that visiting the dentist can be uncomfortable for many people, but our doctors and team will help you have a positive experience from the moment you first contact our office.
During your first visit, our team will typically take X-rays of your mouth, perform a thorough dental examination, and consult with you about your oral health. If patients require immediate treatment, Dr. Ryan Choi and Dr. Richard Choi can perform the necessary treatment. However, those with more complex situations may require an additional visit. By obtaining your dental and medical history and examining your oral health, our dentists can help you better understand your unique circumstances regarding your oral health and present a personalized treatment plan.
If your treatment requires any anesthesia, or if you would like to use anesthesia to help you relax during your appointment, please talk with our dentists prior to your procedure. By alerting us of your medical history, our team can help you know whether anesthesia is safe for you to use and take any necessary precautions. Some common health issues that can be affected by anesthesia include high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, artificial heart valves, and many others. Certain medications, such as blood thinners, heart medication, and aspirin, can also interfere with anesthesia. We want to make sure that your treatment is safe.
To help your dentists understand all of your dental and medical history, we ask that you bring a copy of any previous dental X-rays, a list of current medications, and your insurance information. Please also bring your referral slip if another doctor or dentist has referred you to our practice.
Important: all patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a happy, healthy smile. Our dentists and team are here to give you the care you need right from your first dental visit in San Francisco, California. Please contact us at 415-986-1491 for more information, and to schedule your appointment!
